Coming Clean About Things
Few things make me more exited to spend quality time on the treadmill than when Khloe and Lamar is on E.
I find the nearest machine to a tv that is dedicated to the E channel, listen to my running music (Childish Gambino, Jay-Z, Beyonce, matt pond PA) and make up dialogue to Khloe and Lamar.
because it’s the small things.

So you home school your children because you don’t trust your state government to teach your kids long division but you’re cool with trusting them to decide who to kill?

a few random thoughts about Super 8
It was too hot yesterday to do anything besides see a movie, so we saw Super 8.
1. Kyle Chandler….swoon!
2. Elle Fanning is kind of amazing for a 13 year old.
3. As befits a Steven Spielberg homage I laughed and I cried, multiple times.
4. The monster was wholly unnecessary.
Let me join in the bitching
I shouldn’t be sweating at my desk. I shouldn’t be melting like a popscicle. This heat is totally for the birds.
Bring on fall!!!

I decided to build myself a summer playlist for the old mp3 player (i don’t pod, i zune).
This is what came of that project…it’s a mess, but a loveable mess.

Things that are making me happy Right Now
1. Joshua (my other half) is coming home tomorrow after an extended trip to visit family and friends.
2. The Bruins are playing in Game 7 of Lord Stanley’s Cup tomorrow night. ( i really, really hope they win)
3. The Red Sox are killing it, despite the fact that they lost tonight.
4. Did I mention that my husband is coming home tommorow?
5. I’m only working 4 hours...

Here are the rules: Each tagged person must post ten things about themselves.
I have had this message kicking around for a bit now and figured a lazy Saturday afternoon is the perfect time to take care of it.
1. I am very proud of the fact that not only am I able to drive a stick shift, but that every car I have ever owned has been a stick. They are simply more fun to drive than an...

i'm always glad no one reads this mess*
the snowiest winter in my memory is continuing and luckily i don’t have to go anywhere.
i had surgery last week, gastric bypass, and because of that i have two more weeks of medical leave. it’s weird being home with nothing to do and nowhere to go. i haven’t had so much time off since my one disastrous year at college when i was 18. i’m not going to lie, it’s...

it's oh so quiet
it’s 4 am. i’ve been up since 3. but i’m not as irritated as i normally would be at missing several hours of sleep. we here in new england are in the midst of a big snow storm.
i love big snow. especially if i don’t have to go anywhere. i loved the hushed sounds of cars going by, and the otherwise otherworldly quiet that is all around.
i think i’ll bundle up...
new year's apocalypse?
between the unseasonably warm temps (mid-50s north of boston on the last day of december) and the raging crowds at market basket (evil but cheap grocery store) i can only conclude that the world may be ending.
happy new year indeed.

tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
a second thought
i feel compelled to write something, but at the same time i have nothing of consequence to say. it’s a late november afternoon, not yet 6 o’clock but pitch dark outside. i feel like i should do something productive, but i’d rather sit on my couch.
i guess that’s what it means to be sunday.

shoud i?
the question, as always, is “should i bother?”.
the answer, inevitably, is “why not?”.
this is the first. it may be the last.
lord knows i’ve been sitting on this more than long enough.
